Meanwhile, there are a few legal issues you need to take into consideration as well. Once you have somewhere to play airsoft, you will need to get airsoft insurance for that place.

This will only cost you a few thousand dollars a year. And if you are playing with many of your friends, each of you can pitch in a little bit. Plus, you can rent the space to other airsoft players when you are not using it. Who knows? You can end up making more money then you spent on the insurance originally.

There are a few things you need to submit to your insurance company in order for them to agree to insure your airsoft field: copies of your (1) lease agreement (or proof that you own the property), (2) field map/diagram, (3) field rules, and (4) legal waiver. The fourth one probably needs a bit of explanation.

You need to have a licensed attorney draft the waiver for you. Be sure that your attorney knows what airsoft is. Draft the form together with him if need be. Also make sure that the field rules are agreeable for both your group and the insurance company. Airsoft still needs to be fun as well. Once you have all four documents approved by the insurance company, then you can start playing in your airsoft field right away.
